  • Contributed to developing the User API and multiple user management features such as User Groups and Customizable User Roles (permission sets).
  • Designed and implemented an access layer which authorizes and audits sysadmins performing maintenance on customer instances.
  • Led implementation of an API for managing runtime configurations. Developed library code to allow building endpoints in minutes, not hours.
  • Designed, led implementation, and launched a service for user online statuses, a critical component which handles more API calls than any other service in Tulip’s system.

  • Developed and maintained the API and UI for managing environment variables in runtime environments.
  • Designed and implemented system components for a greenfield distributed task scheduler which ran 1000x faster than its predecessor. Built automated test tooling, and kept the system at >90% coverage.
  • Diagnosed and fixed a longstanding bug causing loss of user credentials, removing the third most common cause of escalated support calls.

  • Supported a full codebase upgrade to Python 3. Made it possible to test in a production-like validation environment and led user acceptance testing.
